West Kirby School & College Lit Fest 2025: Celebrating Creativity, Expression & Diversity
As part of our ongoing commitment to nurturing creativity, embracing diversity, and supporting every pupil’s voice, West Kirby School and College proudly hosted our annual Literacy Festival – a celebration of imagination, storytelling and self-expression.
Lit Fest 2025 saw pupils from across the school engage in a range of inspiring activities, from creative writing workshops and author visits, to poetry slams, dramatic readings and book-themed art projects. The festival aimed to ignite a love of reading and writing in our young people, and to celebrate the rich variety of voices and stories in our community.
Through stories, students explored their identities, built confidence, and developed new ways of expressing themselves – all within an inclusive and supportive environment. It was wonderful to see every pupil, whatever their starting point, find joy and pride in their creative achievements.
At West Kirby, we believe in creating opportunities for all learners to shine. Our LitFest is a perfect example of how we build connection, confidence, and curiosity, one story at a time.
