Schools and professionals from across the region came together for a full day of shared learning, reflection and collaboration, all united by a commitment to developing the very best inclusive practice for young people.
Our speakers brought a wonderful mix of professional expertise and personal experience, covering a wide range of topics and sparking some truly meaningful conversations throughout the day. Attendees also had the chance to connect with our Experts at Hand team, taking away practical strategies, advice and resources to use in their own settings.
We were also proud to use the day to introduce Embrace — Inclusive Education & Clinical Consultancy, a new venture built on the strength of our experienced leadership, educational and clinical team. Embrace is committed to sharing best practice, supporting other schools and settings, and making a real difference for young people across the region.
We were delighted to welcome our inspiring speakers: Sarah Wilkinson, Jess Lambert, Jo Dooley and external guest speaker Francesca Manca.
The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Here is what some of them said:
"Every speaker had amazing insight on inclusion in schools and all presented their findings and experiences in an engaging and interesting way. If there is ever another conference in the future, I would be more than happy to attend again!"
"It was particularly great to hear from professionals who also had personal experience and stories to share."
"Extremely knowledgeable speakers who were able to refer to real life experiences to bring their points to life. A really enjoyable day with a chance to think and reflect!"
"Really useful ideas to take back to school — not only to develop my classroom role but also my wider support across school."
"Today was fantastic. Such a useful and informative day with lots to think about and reflect on!"
Thank you to every school and professional who attended and contributed to such a special day. Together, we continue to strengthen our shared commitment to ensuring every young person feels understood, supported and able to thrive
